Ibanez introduced the AZ427P2QM in 2024, a seven-string solid-body electric guitar from the AZ series. Crafted in Indonesia, it is part of the mid-tier Premium line. The AZ427P2QM features a quilted maple top on an American basswood body bolted to an S-Tech roasted maple Oval C-shaped neck with a rosewood fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, mother-of-pearl dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include a pair of Seymour Duncan Hyperion 7 humbucker pickups, a T1572S tremolo bridge made by Gotoh, a Graph Tech® nut, an angled output jack, and a Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machine.
